Our Role and God’s Role in Salvation

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (James 4:10)

God's Word is clear that our role is to humble ourselves and admit our inability to save ourselves; to recognize that God alone saves us. We don't have any role in our salvation, but we must humble ourselves and recognize our need - we must ask God to save us. This is called faith, humbly grabbing hold of the work of Jesus alone for salvation.
