Close Isn't Enough

Many believers stop just short of full obedience. Like Jacob settling in Shechem when God called him to Hebron, we sometimes settle for comfortable Christianity, attending church, reading the Bible, and calling ourselves Christians, but we never take the next step: going out, preaching the Gospel, and making disciples.

But close isn't enough.

God didn’t call us to almost obey. He didn’t say "stay near obedience." He said:

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15

Settling for anything less is disobedience dressed in good intentions. The world is broken. People are dying without hearing the truth. It’s not enough to be “near” God's will, we must walk fully in it, with boldness, faith, and urgency.
